Rob on the Sixth Floor
Curly-âNo way mate this canât be happening. I donât want to do this, I donât think I can look at the fuck that did that to him.â
Curly and I had travelled all over the city looking for entertainment but everything weâd been searching for was on the sixth floor of our hotel. The driver of the Tuk-tuk would have known, so he probably pretended he didnât understand English to collect the fare. Regardless, the day turned out well and Curly and I, and eventually Mullet, spent the afternoon and most of the night in the hotel's establishment. We were also lucky because the bar didnât receive any other customers so we ended up with the place to ourselves.
When we arrived the girls seemed bored so we brought them and the Mama-sun a round of drinks. I found a music channel on the small T.V. and when I turned up the volume the atmosphere changed from overcast to sunny. Most of the women wanted to practice their English which gave Curly and I the opportunity to get to know everyone. Then Mullet arrived at the bar a couple of hours later and he worked the crowd with his easy-going charm. The women probably didnât get the opportunity to laugh, drink and have fun often, so they started to enjoy themselves. For our part, we were surrounded by attractive women who were vying for our attention, and before long it turned into a party.
I also came up with a way to get back at Mullet for keeping the sixth floor a secret from me and Curly. I charmed the mama-san to turn a blind eye, and although it was against the rules, I went around collecting phone numbers. I spent time with every lady in the bar and they were more than happy to oblige once I had brought them a drink. I did leave a homely looking woman aside for Curly because he isnât the most handsome guy in the world, and he needs all the charity he can get.
When Mullet arrived late in the afternoon, I told him he was too late because the women were already in love with me. I then waited for him to speak to a woman, and once he was deeply involved in a conversation, I sent her a text. I kept the messages plain and uncomplicated and they simply read âplease smile at me and blow me a kissâ. When the women responded Mullet wasnât sure if we had history, so he was forced to find a polite way to ask.
Mullet didnât take long to cotton on to what I was doing but for a while, he thought I had been with most of the women in the room. The wind-up was fun while it lasted, and later in Thailand, he would turn the tables and trick me with a similar prank. The collection of numbers would also become a competition between us. And weâd often check who had the most in their phone by the end of the night.
